There are many different ways you can donate to the Food Bank.

Your cash contribution may be used to purchase dry milk, soups, canned fruits, vegetables, tuna, oats, beans, rice, peanut butter, chili, stew and baby food just to name a few.  It may also be used for perishable items such as hamburger, chicken, eggs,milk, hot dogs and margarine.  All cash contributions also help with GHP FISH's monthly rent and utilities.  These are necessary to keep the food bank operating.

Although FISH strives to distribute only donated food, we sometimes need to purchase foods to make sure our boxes are nutritionally balanced. Food is purchased from Pioneer Food Service in Seattle (which supplies Washington food banks) and from local stores.

The Food Bank also needs a variety of other items
  • Non perishable food items
  • Laundry soap
  • Dish soap
  • Coffee
  • Feminine products
  • Diapers
  • Deodorant
  • Condiments
  • Hangers

We also need gently used men's, women's and children's clothing which are clean and wearable with a focus on children's clothing. Linens, bedding and blankets as well.
We also need gently used coats/jackets and shoes.
